This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made from TESSY MODEST HOME through tessymodesthome.com. It explains your statutory right of withdrawal, how to return an item, and the remedies available if a product is faulty or does not conform to the contract.

14-day right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason within 14 days. The withdrawal period normally begins on the day you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. If goods from one order are delivered separately, the period begins when the last item is received.

How to exercise your right

Before the 14-day period expires, send us a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase:

Please include your name, order number, the item or items concerned, and a statement that you are withdrawing from the contract. This information helps us process the request, but the absence of an order number does not remove a statutory right that can otherwise be verified.

You may use the following wording, although it is not compulsory: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the sale of the following goods: [item], ordered on [date] and received on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].”

Returning the goods

After notifying us, send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you communicated your withdrawal. Returns should be sent to:

For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. We pay or reimburse reasonable return costs when we have confirmed that the product is defective, damaged on arrival, or incorrect. We recommend using a trackable service and keeping proof of dispatch until the return is completed.

Condition of returned items

You may inspect the goods only as you would reasonably be permitted to do in a physical shop. You are responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. Where possible, please return all packaging, accessories, and documentation supplied with the product.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply in the circumstances excluded by law, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. For sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons, the right may not apply after the seal has been broken, but only where that legal exception applies and was disclosed before purchase. These exceptions do not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described.

Refunds

If you validly withdraw from the whole order, we will reimburse payments received from you, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for that order. Any extra cost resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method is not refundable. For partial returns, the original delivery cost is not normally refunded unless required by law.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first. Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise, and no refund fee will be charged by us. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to display the credit.

Faulty, damaged, or incorrect goods

Please contact us as soon as possible at support@tessymodesthome.com, including your order number and clear photographs or a short video where useful. Do not dispose of the item or send it back until we provide appropriate instructions.

Consumers benefit from the mandatory legal guarantee of conformity provided by Italian and European consumer law. The seller is responsible for a lack of conformity that becomes apparent within two years of delivery, subject to the conditions and remedies provided by law. Depending on the circumstances, the available remedy may include repair or replacement, an appropriate price reduction, or termination of the contract and refund.

Any separate two-year guarantee advertised by TESSY MODEST HOME operates in addition to the statutory legal guarantee. It does not replace, restrict, or reduce your mandatory consumer rights.

Exchanges

We do not guarantee direct exchanges. If you want a different item or size, contact us first. Where appropriate, the original item can be returned under this policy and a new order can be placed separately.
